Performers - Performance Issue: My camera isn't connecting.
Why isn't my camera connecting?
- Occasionally there are issues with flash software and browsers.
1.) Ensure you have selected the appropriate camera from the Source pulldown within the Stageit web client Control Panel.2.) Ensure that your camera is connected to your computer.2.) Ensure that your camera is not being used by any other software (Skype, iChat, etc.)3.) Ensure your system has the latest Adobe Flash Player. You can learn which version you are currently running by going here. (Please note: Windows users may need two versions of the software. One for Internet Explorer and one for other browsers.)4.) An "Allow or Decline" prompt should appear in your broadcaster. Sometimes this doesn't work. One of the best solutions we've found for this is to go to the following link and adjust the settings Adobe has for Flash. Flash Settings5.) Ensure that you do not have Use a Desktop Client check (create a show / additional options) unless you are using a client such as Adobe FMLE, Wirecast, Tricaster, etc.
- Special note: If you have recently upgraded to Mac OS X 10.7 "Lion", please be certain to update to the latest version of Adobe Flash for Mac OS X.
