Performers - Basic Equipment: Web client vs Desktop client
What is the difference between the Stageit web client and a desktop client?
The web client is the broadcasting software that is built into the Stageit platform. It will easily access built-in devices (web cam and mic) and allow to accessing USB cameras and audio sources brought in through the line-input on your computer. If you're looking to bring in multiple cameras or high quality cameras, then a great solution is using a desktop client.
The desktop client is an external piece of software that allows for great control over the quality of the stream being sent, in addition to (in some cases) allow for the ability to switch between different cameras that are connected to your computer.
Examples:
- Wirecast
- Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder
