What exactly would a desktop client software package be? I am interested in this option.

A desktop client is a 3rd party application that allows the user to broadcast directly to Stageit directly without using our built in broadcaster. Some programs, such as Telestream Wirecast, allow the user to load prerecorded video and switch between that and the live footage.

Dusty I am looking at the wirecast page. Do I need any special hardware (other than my mac?)

No special hardware is required to use Wirecast, just a compatible Mac or PC
