Explanation: "Name" versus "User Name"

While similar in title, these two fields have very different functions. Here's how it works:

Stageit User Name

• Unique: no two users can have the same User Name
• Displays in chat for both fans and performers
• Displays when users hover over your avatar (if you are a top tipper, top fan, or follower)
• Determines your profile URL

Name

• Not unique: any number of users can share the same 'Name'
• Displayed on your Profile
• Searchable (performers only)
• Feeds into "Headliner" name when creating a show (performers only).

Both User Name and Name can be edited on the Profile Settings page.
