Why allow shows to be "Sold Out"?
StageIt needs to explain why, in a virtual environment, it is possible or desirable to have a show "Sell Out". It seems like an artificial limit. Why not just require a certain number of "notes" to attend if it is above a certain number of web attendees to cover bandwidth costs or whatever your profit method is.
It's completely counterproductive to turn people away in a virtual environment.

Why can't tickets be added to "sold out" performances?

First thing I thought of when I saw a show being sold out and never hearing of this site. Seems pretty stupid to me.

The idea of being "sold out" has probably very little to do with the actual logistics of the site. The idea of providing an exclusive piece of content to a select number of fans is often times a great incentive for people to sign up right away. Anytime we limit the quantity of something in regards to our band, it always sells quicker and we have sold out of everything we have ever advertised as "limited in quantity." On the surface, it may seem like a marketing ploy, but it is in fact a great way for our band to have artistic expression. We aren't an unlimited supply of passion, energy, and songs so we don't believe we should give people unlimited access to our music, or in this case, access to experience that we believe very strongly in. In an industry that musicians have to beg and grovel for attention, we choose an alternative route and dictate just how much of ourselves we are willing to give. Limiting the # of participants in such an event does just that. Sorry for the ramble!
